I believe that art has the power to inspire and transform reality. By painting, dreams, visions and messages of positivity, art becomes a catalyst for positive change.

The Prophetic Artist's Journey

Creating art isn't just about putting paint on canvas; it's a spiritual journey. It's this profound connection with the divine that transcends the physical act of painting. It's a form of worship, a prayer, a meditation, an emotional release, and a healing process. It's this holistic experience that engages the mind, body, emotion, and spirit.

Channeling the Divine

And for me, it's not just about putting colors together; it's about channeling the divine. As a Christian, I see God as the ultimate creator, and I believe that every stroke of creation, especially in art, is a nod from the divine. He's the inspiration behind the dreams, visions, and messages that materialize in my artwork. Interestingly, what starts as a basic image or message often unfurls into something deeper and richer than I could have ever intended.

Being an intuitive artist adds another layer. Items like collage papers, quotes, and other elements thrown into the mix become more than impromptu decisions. While chosen based on the feelings of the moment, they become a layer in the conversation taking place on canvas and their significance becomes clear only through later analysis.

Conversations in Chaos: A Prophetic Journey

Take, for instance, an abstract sketch in my art journal. It started as a spontaneous outpouring of emotions on a particularly rough day. I was navigating a stormy chapter in life, feeling unsettled and somewhat hopeless. The strokes on paper were my way of expressing and venting, and it turned out to resemble a lightning bolt—a fitting representation of my dark, chaotic mood. This moment on paper took on a deeper meaning that simply clearing my head, however.

Unveiling Messages

What unfolded later, as I reflected on the finished piece, was truly remarkable. In the chaotic scribbles of the lightning bolt emerged the subtle yet distinct shape of an angel. For me, as a prophetic artist attuned to finding meaning and message in my creations, it became a clear reminder of hope in the storm. A visual assurance that I'm not alone, that unseen forces are fighting on my behalf.

This art journal piece was intended to be an abstract venting of emotions. Do you see the angelic messenger who showed up in the piece? Prophetic art is often an intuitive process that includes surprises such as this one.

And this is just a tiny example of how God subtly weaves into my artwork, turning it into an act of co-creation and conversation.

Co-Creation and Conversation

When reflecting upon the piece, the story of Jacob’s Ladder from Genesis 28 came to mind. Just like Jacob’s dream ladder, an angel was traveling along the lightning bolt in my art journal, and instantly, the image became a visual conversation with God where He was telling me that He was with me, He would keep me and He would do what he promised.

I believe that every piece of art is a co-creating and and conversation. In my art journal, I poured out my heart- that I was hurting and confused and God poured out His- that he was with me and had a plan to get me through it.

God’s Whispers in Every Brushstroke

In my studio, every stroke on the canvas is like a divine chat, a collaborative effort between my creative intent and the inspiration whispered by God. Whether it starts with a dream, a verse, or some other inspiration, each piece becomes a co-creation—a tangible dialogue with the Creator where He paints along with and through me.
